Karolina Weltrowska was born in Poland and studied the violin with Mirosław Ławrynowicz at the Frédéric Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw and with Priya Mitchell at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main. With her string quartet she was a student at the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA) where her teacher was, among others, Hatto Beyerle.
Karolina is a prize winner of major national violin competitions and appeared as a solist with orchestras in her native country. As a member of her quartet she won first prizes in the international chamber music competitions in Heerlen (Netherlands), Sondershausen, and Weimar (Germany). Karolina has performed at various chamber music festivals, including Kuhmo, Lockenhaus, Oxford, Osnabrück and Schleswig-Holstein. She is a member of Ensemble MidtVest in Denmark.
